What is Bike2Farm?
Bike to Farm is a group who organizes bike trips to organic farms but is not limitted to such.
We have been sponsored by the Concordia Sustainable Action Fund (SAF) and “Right to Move”; they support us with finances and bike tools, thus trip costs are very low.
As for who we are, we are a group of friends! We share similar interests: we typically love the outdoors, we bike, appreciate organic food, and want to treat the greater ecology well.
On our Bike2Farm trips you will typically experience bike touring and organice farming. It’s a lot of physical activity in 3 days, it’s important that those who come understand the implications of such a trip.
To offer to a wider range of people, we are thus looking at starting light city tours. It will be designed for those of us who are more physically moderate at heart and who can only commit to a lighter trip. Such a trip would only go several hours while a Bike2Farm trip typically runs 3 days. More to come on light city tours (to gardens)!
What is the purpose of this blog?
This is where we publish our trips and events. This blog is where you can register for trips and see photos of past events. It is a stable medium through which we can communicate and organize our trips.

Hello All!
I am the owner of a little property in the Laurentians, near Arundel. In the past I have farmed it to create a sustainable lifestyle, but physical limitations forced me to take a change in life directions. I have been away from the place for six years and it is in great need of some TLC. I would love to see the land used and I would love to share the place with someone who is interested in such a lifestyle–maybe a co-operative? I am open to suggestions and ideas. Could I have some volunteers come to my place to help me get it back in order? I have some raspberries that want transplanting, a greenhouse that needs some minor repairs, a garden to prepare for next year, a barn that needs help, flower gardens to tend, trees to trim, etc. etc.
Help!!
thanks so much!
Chris
